You can pay your fare quickly and easily with your smartphone using the Token Transit app. Purchase passes to use immediately or store them for future rides. It’s simple to use and more convenient than cash. Here’s how it works in five easy steps.

Download "Token Transit" from Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iPhone). You can also text "TOKEN" to 41411 to receive a download link.

Purchase - Select the rider category and fare you want to purchase. Purchased passes are stored for later use.

Activate - When you are ready to ride, tap your pass to activate. All passes are stored in your Token Transit account.

Ride - Show the BBB Operator your digital ticket. You're good to go!


Do you qualify for reduced fares?

Anyone may purchase any fare listed above. However, the following fares can only be used by qualifying riders and may require ID to board.

Access Must have Current ADA ID: Access Tickets are good on Omnitrans Access service; only passengers with Omnitrans ADA ID cards and a reservation can ride Access.

Disability/Medicare Persons with disabilities and medicare recipients qualify for a discounted rate on fares and bus passes. Proof of eligibility such as an Omnitrans Disability ID card is required.

Youth Youth age 18 and under qualify for a discount on selected fares and passes with proof of age or high school ID. Students over age 18 must pay full fare rates, unless they are enrolled at a school, college or university that is participating in the Omnitrans GoSmart program.

Senior Seniors 62 and older qualify for a discounted rate on fares and bus passes. Proof of eligibility such as an Omnitrans Senior ID card is required.

Veteran Veterans are required to show a valid Veterans ID card while boarding in order to receive discounted fare. Acceptable ID cards include: County of San Bernardino Military Veteran ID Card, US Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs Retired ID Card, Transit Agency Veterans ID Cards (RTA and VVTA).

Pass descriptions

Passes can be used at any time after purchase. Purchased passes are stored in the "Stored Passes" section of the app. The countdown does not begin until after the pass is first used. For more information on how to use the app, checkout our video tutorial

Name Description
Single Ride Valid for a single ride. Ticket will display for 30 minutes.
One Day Day passes are valid until midnight.
7 Day Seven day passes are valid for 7 consecutive days.
31 Day 31 day passes are valid for 31 consecutive days.
10 Pack Single Ride Valid for 10 single rides. Ticket will display for 30 minutes.
10 Pack One Day 10 Pack Day is a pack of 10 passes each valid until midnight.

What is Token Transit?

Token Transit is a mobile ticketing app that lets you pay for and ride public transit with your phone. We partner with transit agencies across the country to offer fare payment for your public transit agency in our app.

Can I use Token Transit?

Token Transit supports paying for public transit in dozens of public transit agencies across the country. Check the list of supported transit agencies in the Token Transit app for the latest agencies that support Token Transit.

App Questions

How do I know if my pass is active?

Active passes will be displayed under “passes in use,” which immediately appears when the Token Transit app is opened. They display a “time left” section with time remaining until the pass expires

What if my battery dies while my pass is active?

You are responsible for keeping your phone charged while using your pass. Refunds will not be issued if your phone’s battery dies while your pass is active.

When do I need an internet connection?

An internet connection is required in order to purchase your pass. An internet connection is also required to use your pass for the first time, and to refresh once each day if your pass is active for multiple days (e.g. monthly pass).

Can I see my expired passes?

Yes, you can view a log of your past actions by going to your Account Settings and selecting “History.” There will be a new entry every time you use a pass.

Lost Phone

What happens if I lose my phone?

Your passes and payment information are linked to the account associated with your phone number. They are not linked to your physical phone. Logging in with your phone number on a new device will restore your previous pass and payment information.

How do I access my account?

Your account is tied to the phone number that you first used to log into the Token Transit app. You will receive an SMS message to verify your phone number when you log in.

How do I change my account phone number?

You cannot change your account phone number from within the Token Transit app. If you need to change the phone number of your account contact us.
