You can pay your fare quickly and easily with your smartphone using the Token Transit app. Purchase passes to use immediately or store them for future rides. It’s simple to use and more convenient than cash. Here’s how it works in five easy steps.

Download "Token Transit" from Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iPhone). You can also text "TOKEN" to 41411 to receive a download link.

Purchase - Select the rider category and fare you want to purchase. Purchased passes are stored for later use.

Activate - When you are ready to ride, tap your pass to activate. All passes are stored in your Token Transit account.

Ride - Show the BBB Operator your digital ticket. You're good to go!

Fares

Do you qualify for reduced fares?

Anyone may purchase any fare listed above. However, the following fares can only be used by qualifying riders and may require ID to board.

Disabled Santa Clarita Transit offers free local rides to all disabled patrons with proper identification. Reduced fares are offered on all commuter routes. Disabled persons must present a Medicare or Los Angeles County Transit Operators Association (LACTOA) card. For information on obtaining a LACTOA card please contact Los Angeles METRO’s Reduced Fare Office.
You will need to show ID to board.
Senior Santa Clarita Transit offers free local rides to all seniors aged 60 and over. Reduced fares are offered on all commuter routes. Driver may request valid photo identification from boarding passengers.

Pass descriptions

Passes can be used at any time after purchase. Purchased passes are stored in the "Stored Passes" section of the app. The countdown does not begin until after the pass is first used. For more information on how to use the app, checkout our video tutorial

Name Description
Local: Single Ride Valid for a single LOCAL ride. Ticket will display for 30 minutes.
Local: Day LOCAL Day passes are valid until midnight.
Local: Month LOCAL Month passes are valid for 1 calendar month.
Knott's Berry Farm 1 Ride Valid for a single Knotts' Berry Farm ride. Ticket will display for 60 minutes.
757-North Hollywood: Single Ride Valid for a single 757 - NORTH HOLLYWOOD ride. Ticket will display for 30 minutes.
757-North Hollywood: Month 757 - NORTH HOLLYWOOD Month passes are valid for 1 calendar month.
796/791-Warner Center: Single Ride Valid for a single 796/791 - WARNER CENTER ride. Ticket will display for 30 minutes.

About Token Transit

What is Token Transit?

Token Transit is a mobile ticketing app that lets you pay for and ride public transit with your phone. We partner with transit agencies across the country to offer fare payment for your public transit agency in our app.

Can I use Token Transit?

Token Transit supports paying for public transit in dozens of public transit agencies across the country. Check the list of supported transit agencies in the Token Transit app for the latest agencies that support Token Transit.


App Questions

How do I know if my pass is active?

Active passes will be displayed under “passes in use,” which immediately appears when the Token Transit app is opened. They display a “time left” section with time remaining until the pass expires

What if my battery dies while my pass is active?

You are responsible for keeping your phone charged while using your pass. Refunds will not be issued if your phone’s battery dies while your pass is active.

When do I need an internet connection?

An internet connection is required in order to purchase your pass. An internet connection is also required to use your pass for the first time, and to refresh once each day if your pass is active for multiple days (e.g. monthly pass).

Can I see my expired passes?

Yes, you can view a log of your past actions by going to your Account Settings and selecting “History.” There will be a new entry every time you use a pass.


Lost Phone

What happens if I lose my phone?

Your passes and payment information are linked to the account associated with your phone number. They are not linked to your physical phone. Logging in with your phone number on a new device will restore your previous pass and payment information.


Your Account

How do I access my account?

Your account is tied to the phone number that you first used to log into the Token Transit app. You will receive an SMS message to verify your phone number when you log in.

How do I change my account phone number?

You cannot change your account phone number from within the Token Transit app. If you need to change the phone number of your account contact us.
